  5. What are Miles AIL drivers, and how do I install them?
  6. Several programs use drivers from Miles Design.  With the AWE32 Miles drivers 
  7. you can enjoy high quality music with most games written to use the Miles 
  8. drivers.
  9.  
  10. If your program uses the Miles drivers then it will have one of two types 
  11. of files listed in the game's directory.  The real mode drivers have an 
  12. extension of ADV.  They have names like ADLIB.ADV and MT32MPU.ADV.  The 
  13. protected mode drivers have an extension of DLL.  They have names like 
  14. A32ADLIB.DLL and A32MT32.DLL.
  15.  
  16. If your program uses the real mode drivers (.ADV) then rename the current 
  17. MT32MPU.ADV to MT32MPU.BAK and copy the Sound Blaster AWE32 driver 
  18. (SBAWE32.ADV) to MT32MPU.ADV.
  19.  
  20. example:        ren mt32mpu.adv mt32mpu.bak
  21.         copy sbawe32.adv mt32mpu.adv
  22.  
  23. If your program uses the protected mode drivers (.DLL) then rename the current 
  24. A32MT32.DLL to A32MT32.BAK and copy the Sound Blaster AWE32 driver 
  25. (A32AWE32.DLL) to A32MT32.DLL.

  30. Then select MT32 or MPU-401 for music when you set up the game.

  356.    Note:  The v1.30 patch is available on Creative Labs BBS in Patches File
